She died at Schuyler Skilled Nursing Unit. Mrs. Delany was the daughter of Charles and Sarah Bertha Peterson Ostrander. Maude was pre-deceased by her second husband, Harold Coon. Mrs. Delany was a life-long communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY where she served as organist and choir director for several years when the church was located on W. Broad St. and St. Mary's St. Maude was a Commissioner for The Chemung County Board of Elections and a long-time State Committee Person for the Democratic Party. She was a volunteer for The American Red Cross during WW II, a member of the American Legion Post # 154 Auxiliary, The Polish National Alliance, and The White Eagles Club. Maude was an avid bowler and golfer for several years.

Mrs. Delany was survived by her daughter: Alice Everts of Chili, NY; sons and daughters-in-law: John & Nancy Delany of Alpine, NY, Charles & Onalee Delany of Horseheads, NY, James & Eileen Delany of San Gabriel, CA, Richard & JoAnn Delany of Oxnard, CA, and Michael & Cynthia Delany of Evergreen, Colorado; sister: Della Meador of Painted Post, NY; sister-in-law: Helen Hower of Horseheads, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
