Anne E.Bartholomew
Anne E.Bartholomew,87,of Avoca, died Thursday(August 26,2004) at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath. Born in Corning on May 1,1917, she was a daughter of the late William and Ellen Allen Ferranti. A former resident of Sullivansville, N.Y. and Nelson, Pa., Anne retired from Corning Inc. in 1982 with 41 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Sondra (David) Ripley of Avoca and Branda Arnold of Elkland, Pa.; her grandchildren, Melody (Robert) Bradbury, Craig Marlatt, Kelly (Michael) Porco, Michael (Saundra) Monroe, Leslie (Basil) Dennissoff, David (Emmie Lou) Miller, Tess (Thomas) Casper, Hilary Quagliana and Quagliana; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; her sister, Julia Travis of Bath, Kate (Alton) Herrick of Lindley, and Mary Fish of Corning; her sister-in-law, Vivian Ferranti of Troupsburg; also her nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husbands, Louis Quagliana and Lee Bartholomew Jr., Her son, Ronald Quagliana; her sisters, Madeline Fortney and Elizabeth Carlineo; her brothers, Joe and Michael Ferranti and her son-in-law Charles "Sunny" Arnold Jr. Anne always took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by those that loved her. Calling hours are from 1-4 p.m. today at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, where a funeral and committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery, Horseheads. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in Ann's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 435 E.Henrietta Rd., Rochester, N.Y. 14620
