Rev. C.O. Huber died in Brownfield Tuesday morning according to information received by friends in Canyon. He was assistant pastor of the Baptist church in Brownfield, having accepted this work only a few months ago. He was pastor of the church at McLean before moving to Brownfield.
Rev. Huber was the son of Mrs. I.W. Huber, who lived in Canyon for several years. He was a student of West Texas State and served as student secretary of the local church.
Mrs. Huber was the former Violet Goad, also a former student. Both were outstanding musicians and took an active part in all musical affairs of the college and community. Mrs. Huber has been teaching music in the Brownfield schools. They have one daughter.
His mother and one sister have been living in Amarillo.
Another sister, Lena, was a member of the Canyon News staff for many years before her death.
