MAYNARD, Danny Lee of Brandon, FL passed away of natural causes at his home in Brandon, FL on Monday, October 22, 2012. He was born November 29, 1951 in Hiawatha, KS, the son of Lynn Gerard and Laverne Mae Camblin-Maynard. He graduated from Maysville High School and attended Central Christian College in Moberly, Missouri. He found the love of his life in college and they moved to Indiana where they were married and purchased the Bedford Bible Bookstore from his wife's parents. They owned and operated the bookstore for 33 years in Bedford, IN before retiring in 2007. He was a dedicated Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ his entire married life. He enjoyed his special talents in hunting, farming, backhoe work, and woodworking. But most of all, Danny rejoiced in bringing anyone to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Therefore, he tirelessly volunteered his time and talent to helping people and being a blessing to all people he met so that he might have an opportunity to share his faith with them. He loved the Lord Jesus more than anything of this world. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard attend church at Kingdom Christian Ministries in Lithia, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smelser-Maynard; his sister, Ms. Donna Maynard-McCullem of Columbia, MO; and his two daughters, Mrs. Rachael Marie and her husband Chad Word; and Mrs. Rebecca Ruth and her husband Randall Brooks. He had five grandchildren, Levi and Olivia Word and Quinn, Kira, and Conner Brooks. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him but we know he loves being with Jesus. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Friday October 26, 2012 at Stowers Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Pelote Cemetery in Lithia, FL.
