02 JAN 2022 SAC to add plot information.~ Loretta Jane (Rowan) Cooper was born March 5, 1942 in Muskogee General Hospital to William Raymond Rowan and Mary Louise (Nutt) Rowan. Loretta attended grade school at Georgetown elementary and junior high & high school in Fort Gibson, where she graduated in 1960. After graduating from high school, she met (on a blind date) Thomas Riley Cooper who took her to a baseball game where he ended up being the unpire (sic) in the Navy white uniform. Tom asked her to marry him shortly after that and she said "YES!" Tom and Loretta were married December 20, 1960. They were blessed with four daughters: Lena, Sally, Thomissa, and Cindy. Loretta was a wonderful wife, and mother. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Mari, Jayne, Karrie, Marchael, Roy, & Travis; 6 great-grandchildren: Christopher, Jacob, Michael, Hannah, Haley, & Sierra; and numerous extended family.

Loretta passed from this earthly walk on October 25, 2012. She will truly be missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 and half years, Thomas Riley Cooper; her parents, Mary & Raymond Rowan; her mother & father-in-law, Lena & Preston Cooper; 2 sister-in-laws, Patricia Howard & Nelda Cooper; and her maternal & paternal grandparents.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 12:00pm at Trinity Family Worship in Fort Gibson. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 10:00am until 11:30am at Trinity Family Worship in Fort Gibson. Burial Services will be held at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 2:00pm.

Services under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home Wetumka, Oklahoma.
