Ogden – Our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on October 19, 2012 to be reunited with many family members. Larene was born on March 25, 1930 in Malad, Idaho to Hugh and Sarah Clark. She married Donald Hawks and had two children together; Donna Lynne Knotts and Donald Hawks Jr. Larene later married Glen Edwin Vaughan, and they were sealed in the LDS Ogden Temple.
Larene was a member of the Rock Cliff 5th Ward, she loved teaching primary, and served there for 17 years. Larene enjoyed baking, walking, and painting ceramics. She loved her grandchildren and her dogs Gigi and Suzie.
She is survived by her 3 children; Donna (Tom-deceased) Knotts, Donald "Buzz" (Patricia) Hawks, and Eric (Teresa) Vaughan; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Beth (Neal-deceased) Hawks, Thelma (Farrel-deceased) Daniels, and Ann (David) Peterson.
Larene was preceded in death by her husband, 7 sisters, and 1 brother.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 1:00 p.m. at the Rock Cliff 5th Ward, 300 Iowa Avenue, Ogden. A viewing will be held prior to services from 11:30 to 12:30 at the church. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
