NATHAN FOREMAN.

Who died at his residence on the morning of the 27th ult., was a son of Nathan and Lilitha Foreman, and was born in the 2nd Ward of this parish in the year 1815.

His first marriage was to Annie Higginbotham, February 28th, 1837, by whom he had the following children:
Mrs. Annie Guidry, now living in Hardin county, Texas,
Mrs. Vileor Duhon,
Miss Edilia Foreman,
Mrs. H. Foreman.
Marie Adolphe Duhon, deceased,
and Mrs. Joe Broussard.

In 1868 he was married to The widow Broussard, nee Levina Lyons, the mother of our popular sheriff, Isaac Broussard, who survives her husband.

Mr. Foreman was one of the largest land and cattle owners in the parish. He was an indefatigable worker, and contracted pneumonia, of which he died, by over exertion on his place.

He was a lifelong Democrat, and at every barbecue and political gathering his familiar face was always seen among the vice-presidents of the meeting.

His remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground, near Kimbell's chapel. Requiescat in pace.
