Elizabeth Bucklew was born in Ohio December 20, 1840. She came withe her parents when yet a child, to Hancock County, Illinois, in which community she was united in marriage to Green Harding June 28, 1871. The family moved from Illinois to Neosho County, Kansas, in March 1881.
Mr Harding died in 1885. In September, 1896, Mrs Harding was married to David Fowler, and he passed to the beyond in 1905.
Mother Fowler came to Little River in March, 1908, and has made this her home until her death which occurred January 23, 1924. Her age, at the time of death, was 83 years, 1 month and 3 days. She leaves one daughter, Mrs Julia Moody of Mulberry, Kansas, and three sons, Wesley Harding of Wichita, Kansas, and Edward E Harding and Harry W Harding of Little River, Kansas, with other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Christian church for many years.
Funeral services were conducted from the family home as 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning by the Reverend C Saunders of the Christian church, after which the body was shipped to Erie, Kansas, her former home, where, at Bethel church near Erie, services were conducted and interment was made in Bethel cemetery.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends.
