Harry Staley died at his home over on the State road, northwest of Mulberry, Wednesday afternoon – the fortieth anniversary of his marriage. He had been in feeble health for about a year, suffering from a complication of diseases.

Harry Staley, a son of Clark Staley, was born in the vicinity in which he died, 64 years ago, lacking a few weeks. Most of his life was spent on the farm, but for a few years he lived in Lafayette and served the street car company as a motorman. When he quit that service he bought the old Charley Moyer farm, a short distance east of Snoddy's Corner, and there he remained till his death. Early in life he married a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brand.

The near relatives surviving are the widow, one son, Elwood Staley; a sister, Mrs. May Hildebrand, of Morgantown, Ind., and a brother, Will Staley, of route 4, Lafayette.

Clark Staley was twice married. Will Staley's mother was the first wife, Harry, Emerson, and Mrs. Hildebrand were children of the second marriage.

The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Masonic lodge, both in Dayton. The remains were prepared for burial at the Baker mortuary in Dayton, and on Thursday were returned to the home. The funeral service is conducted today – Friday, by Rev. H. W. Steen, at 2 p. m., at the Dayton church.
