Frieda Elizabeth Taylor, 101, died Saturday, May 25, 2013

Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Premont to Charles and Anna Maderer. She attended school in Premont, graduating in 1930. She worked in several jobs before marrying Edgar Taylor in 1934. They were married for 68 years until his death in 2002. In the mid 1970s they moved to Three Rivers. She learned to sew at a young age and continued the hobby into her 90s. For the past 11 years, she resided at the assisted living facility Villa NW in Corpus Christi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar; her parents; and all of her siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Pat (Harry) Rychetsky of Calallen; grandchildren, Dena Trahan and Ronald Ray Rychetsky; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, great-grandsons and nephew, Billy Maderer.

The funeral service was conducted in Three Rivers at the Roberson Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 28. Rev. Steve Exendine of the Liberty Baptist Church in Corpus Christi officiated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
