Jewell Courtney Aaron, 1008 Lee Avenue, Port Arthur, died at St. Mary Hospital Saturday, January 22, (1977). He had resided in Port Arthur since 1929. He retired from Texaco in 1970 after 41 years service as an operator. He was a member of the Cosmopolitan Masonic Lodge 872 AF &AM, the Port Arthur Chapter 250 R.A.M. and the Port Arthur Commandery, 73 K.T. and the Port Arthur Council 185 R.F.M. Elmina Shrine Temple
Survivors are his wife, Mary Aaron of Port Arthur; two daughters, Yvonne Sutherlin of Port Arthur and Shirley Williams of Beaumont; two sisters- Mrs. Ada Cheshire of Plain Dealing, La. and Mrs. Mabel Sterling of Gloster, Miss; four grandchildren, Walter Williams, Ann Coakley, James Sutherlin and David Sutherlin. Services were at Clayton Thomas Chapel Monday, January 24, at 11 a.m. with Howard C. Bennett of the First Baptist Church in Port Arthur officiating. Masonic graveside services were held at Greenlawn Cemetery.
