Mae Amanda Sinnes Bean was born May 10th, 1928 to Audne ( Adne / Audney ) J Sinnes and Blanche Amanda Moa in Conway, Skagit, Washington. Conway is approximately 5 miles south of Mt. Vernon. She was the last of seven children born. Sister to June ( Pearson ), Jess, Merle, Erling ( Earl ), Audrey ( Salstrom ) & Norma ( Button ).
Mae married Carl Bean and had 4 children; Charles ( Chuck ), Sandra ( Pennington ), Barbara ( Roman ) & Brian. Mae was raised on the family farm. In the 1940's, she and her sister Norma struck out together for California and landed in the San Francisco Bay Area. Norma married a merchant marine and Mae a sailor.
Mae settled eventually in San Jose, Santa Clara, CA after several moves around the country due to husband Carl's naval transfers. Norma settled in Northridge, Los Angeles, CA in a home that she and husband, Wallace ( Wally ) C Button Jr., bought from Carl who had bought it thinking that he and Mae might settle there but for some reason decided not to. Mae and Carl divorced in the 1960's and Mae eventually relocated with children, Barbara & Brian to first, Huntington Beach and then to Costa Mesa, CA where she could be closer to her sister Norma and her children. Mae passed Aug. 30th, 1983 at home in Costa Mesa, Orange, CA. Gone too soon to know her future daughter and son in-law, Virginia and Luis and grandchildren, Vanessa & Carlos.
Norma was born Nov. 19th, 1924 in Conway, Skagit, Washington. She had two sons; Creig & Scott, both deceased. Creig was crippled before he was able to have any children. Scott married Diane Britt and before Scott passed they had two lovely daughters, Nikki & Ashley. Norma passed July 14th, 1986 at home in Northridge, Los Angeles, CA
Both sisters were much loved and are sorely missed.
