Cynthia Ann Carter Wiley, 61, of San Angelo, Texas died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her residence.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel and Rev. Jim Benson officiated.

Cynthia (Cindy) was born Oct. 22, 1950 in Abilene, Texas to Ellis and Virginia (Clements) Carter. She was a registered nurse and a resident of San Angelo since 1974. She graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1968 and received her nursing degree from San Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

Cynthia (Cindy) married Nathan Wiley on May 22, 1969 in Abilene, Texas. She was known as Mimi to her beloved grandchildren as well as to many others that the lives she touched.

She cared deeply for her many animals. Her interests included gardening, antiquing and she always loved going to garage sales, as well as cooking for family and friends. She loved people and loved helping others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Virginia Carter, of Sweetwater, Texas; her maternal grandparents, Walter and Minnie Clements of Sweetwater, Texas; and her paternal grandparents, Ellis Carter, Sr. and Widdie Stephens of Mineral Wells, Texas. She also was preceded in death by her twin sisters, Judy and Julia Carter of Sweetwater, Texas.

Survivors include her husband Nathan Wiley of the home; her son, Shawn Wiley and wife Tara; daughter, Missy Barton and husband Dusty; grandchildren Breanna Wiley, Meagan Farris and Justin Barton; and her sister, Carolyn Moschetto and husband Jim of Azle, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Cindy Wiley to the Children's Miracle Network.
