Paulina at the age of 1 year along with her parents, immigrated to America via the Port of Rotterdam, Holland on the 28th of July 1910 aboard the SS 'Volturno' and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 11th of August 1910.
The Helm family initially settled at Wausau, Wisconsin for 1½ years and then decided to try their hand at farming at Ashley, North Dakota for 3 years. In 1914 the Helm family immigrated to Alberta, Canada and settled in the vicinity of Carbon, Alberta until the spring of 1921, which took them to a farm located 1 mile west of Hilda, Alberta.
Paulina married Rudolph DARR on the 8th of October 1928 probably at Hilda, Alberta. The couple was blessed with 6 children; Violet, Milton, Harvey, Raymond, Laverne and David.
Paulina DARR died giving birth to 1 of her children. Interred on the 19th of May 1943, by Reverend Jantz.
