Charlotte Jane Lewis Tannehill of Corsicana, passed away at 9:30 Saturday morning on October 13, 2012, surrounded by her family at Baylor Medical Center. Charlotte lived a very full life filled with smiles, happiness and grandbabies.

Charlotte was a graduate of Corsicana High School class of 1961, where she was a majorette and voted "Most Attractive Female" of her graduating class. She also attended Navarro College for two years. Charlotte then went on to successfully run, own, and operate One Hour Martinizing, a dry cleaners, on 7th Avenue for over 15 years.

For the past six years she has been a devoted employee to Navarro Regional Hospital in the records department. The highlight of her day was collecting the records on the maternity floor so she could see all the newborn babies that just entered the world.

Charlotte was also an extremely active member in the First United Methodist Church of Corsicana. She served on the finance and worship committee for many years, in addition to preparing 1st Sunday communion every month for the past three years. She was also an imperative member of the Christian Adult Sunday School Class where she served as Secretary/Treasurer in years past. She also began every day of her life with a cup of coffee while reading a devotional from the Upper Room.

Charlotte was best known and recognized for her kind words, big heart, and devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Tannehill; her oldest son Phillip Kyle Daviss, and his wife Lori, and their son John Tyler; her youngest son, Todd Kelly Daviss, his wife Samantha, and their three boys, Colin, Todd, and Zachary. She is also survived by her brother Billy Lewis, and his wife Joanne, children David and Becky, and their families; nephew Mike and Sherrie Lewis, and their kids Justin, Chase, Casey, Russell and Jeff and their families. Additional family includes her niece Jennifer Lewis Burleson and her family, niece Lacy Lewis and nephew Blake Lewis. She is also survived by an endless list of nieces and nephews and cousins, and all of their family members. Her family was the most important entity in her life, and she will be cherished and loved by all for all the days to come.

Today Charlotte Tannehill (better known as Memom) has gone to be with her Lord, the one person she held in the highest regard. She goes in peace joining her mother, Sybil Lewis, her father, Charles Ottis Lewis, and her two brothers, Roy Benton and David Glen "Buddy" Lewis. They have all reunited in a place of great happiness and peace, but we all still have the comfort of knowing she will always be watching over and protecting us all.

"Our Memom will be missed, but never forgotten".
