Judine "Judy" Krones, 69, of Watseka, passed away Sunday (Oct. 21, 2012) at her home.
Judy was born Feb. 5, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of James and M. Patricia Hayes Brennan. Her husband, James W. "Jim" Krones, whom she married Aug. 29, 1964, in Woodstock, preceded her in death Sept. 4, 2010.
She is survived by three daughters, Laurie (Tom) Kellen and their children, Megan, James and Meredith Kellen, all of Alton, Iowa, Jacquelyn Krones (Eric Reel) and their children, Hank and Seamus, all of Seattle, Wash., and Mary Pat Krones, of Palatine; one son, Richard (Samantha) Krones and their children, Gabriella and Jackson Krones, all of Edmonds, Wash.; her mother, Pat Brennan, of Watseka; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, James J. and Donald A. Brennan.
Mrs. Krones was a member of St. Edmund Catholic Church in Watseka and the CCW. She was the CCW Woman of the Year in 2012. Judy was the coordinator of Religious Education at St. Edmund Catholic Church for 29 years. She enjoyed working with the Religious Education staff as well as the children of St. Edmund Catholic Church. She loved traveling to visit her children and grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edmund Catholic Church. The Rev. Vern Arseneau will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka. Memorials may be made to the St. Edmund Roof Fund, Faith Place or to the family wishes.
