Sister M. Evelyn Trost, 79, died last week at the Holy Family convent. Burial
rites took place at the convent.
Before her profession in the religious life, she was Anna Trost, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Trost of Newton. Her education was obtained at
St. Joseph school a _____ Lake and at the convent academy. Sister Evelyn entered
the convent in 1887 and celebrated her golden jubilee in August, 1940.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Mary Ruchhoeft, and a brother, George Trost, both
of Newton, and a number of nieces and nephews. Three brothers and two sisters
preceded her in death.
