London Mills-Jerome A. Tinder, 61, passed away at 7:33 am, Saturday, October 20, 2012 in rural Lewistown.
He was born on July 2, 1951 in Canton to Bernie and Nedra Ulm Tinder. They preceded him in death.
Jerome married Vicki Cremer on June 23, 1973 in London Mills. She survives.
Also surviving are three children Bernie (Jane) Tinder of Canton, Donavon (Erica) Tinder of Fairview, Tina (David) Roddis of Lewistown, five grandchildren; Felicia, Erynn, Bryar, Addison, Aiden, two step grandchildren; Tim and Sara and two great grandchildren Alizabeth and Alexis.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers Roger and Terry and three sisters Bea, Wanda and Karen.
He was a former police officer for Tinder's Police Service in Ellisville and the former chief of police in London Mills. He was a member of the London Mills Methodist Church and a scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
A celebration of his life will be held from 4-5 on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. There will be no funeral service. Per Jerome's wishes he has donated his body to medical science.
