Frostburg - Robert Brown, 57, Consolidation Village, died yesterday afternoon at Miners Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 20.

Mr. Brown was a son of the late Joseph and Eliza Lee Brown. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Brown, and a son, Joseph Brown, Cresaptown.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Richards and Mrs. Helen Leptic, both of Consolidation Village; another son, Robert J. Brown, the Army Air Force in Maine; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Lloyd, Frostburg; Mrs. Bessie Bittner, Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Lizzie Schramm, Barton; and five brothers, William and Charles both of Frostburg; and Albert, Clarence and Joseph H. Brown, all of Akron.

Mr. Brown was a coal miner and had resided in the Frostburg area most of his life.

The body will remain at Hafer Funeral Home here.



Note: The birth year on his headstone is incorrect. Both of his Selective Service registrations, for WWI & WWII, list his birthdate as 29 October 1891.
