Margaret Dickson was born near Concord, Ohio, seventy-seven years ago and died at her home Sunday October, 19 1913 from cancer of the stomach. Twenty-five years ago she was married to Alex Acheson and since then their home has been in Effingham. Mrs. Acheson united with the Presbyterian church, when a young woman. She was always kind and courteous and never known to speak an ill word of any one, and a faithful attendant at the church services until her health failed. Her illness was characterized by great patience. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. A. Whysong and burial took place in the Evergreen cemetery. With her husband she is survived two step-children; Will Acheson and Mrs Ed High, both of Effingham and a brother and sister in the east.
