Hollis E. Berkenbile was born on Jan. 3, 1923 to Charles Oscar and Alma Elizabeth (Curry) Berkenbile and died Apr. 22, 2000 with burial in Hennessey Cemetery.
He married Thelma Ruth (Winters) Nov. 16, 1946. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Hollis and Thelma lived and farmed east of Hennessey, Ok. early in their marriage, eventually moving to the Winters Homestead in 1958, where they raised their five daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leland Berkenbile .
Hollis was survived by his wife Thelma of the home; five daughters, Linda Witt and husband Mike, Shirley Walterscheidt and husband Keith, Karen Beaman and husband Gary, Renee Buckley and husband Lane, Diane Garrison and husband Joe; two brothers, Charles Vernon Berkenbile and Delmar Arlie Berkenbile; three sisters, Irene States, Juanita Rogers and Aleene Self .
