Hoyle Edward Effler, age 80, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at Maryville Healthcare Center. He retired from ALCOA. Preceded in death by wife, Juanita Allen Effler; parents, Jerry ''Barefoot Jerry'' and Della Ledbetter Effler; brothers, Boyd Effler, Wade Effler, Clark Effler, Dewey Effler and Claude Effler. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Becky Effler of Nashville, Ernest and Kay Effler of Smyrna; daughters, Betty Law of Rockford, Patricia Goodson and husband Don, Audrey Roy, Teresa Suttles, all of Maryville; fifteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Bart Effler of Indiana; sister, Viola Lequire of Maryville; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the loving staff of Maryville Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2005, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. John Franklin officiating, with interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
