The deceased was born in Bordelonville, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bordelon. At the time of his death he was a resident of Evergreen, where he had made his home for many years.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning, Oct. 16, at 9:00 o'clock from the Church of the Little Flower, Evergreen, with the pastor Rev. L. Tremblay, officiating last rites. Interment was in the Evergreen Catholic cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Odelia Ducote Bordelon, deceased is survived by seven daughters: Mrs. Ronald Schon and Mrs. Raymond St. Romain of Baton Rouge; Mrs. Maggie Aymond, Mrs. Danny Aymond, Mrs. Laymon Aymond, Mrs. Reese Normand and Mrs. Alvin Redmon, all of Bunkie. Also nine sons: John, of Baton Rouge, Leo of Cottonport; Roy of Evergreen; Dickens, Jr., Ray and Nolan of Bunkie; Gene and Raymond, U.S. Air Force, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Ivy Bordelon of New Orleans and Scully Bordelon of Cottonport; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Lacombe of New Orleans, Mrs. Camile Bordelon and Mrs. Rachal Ducote of Cottonport.
