DAVENPORT - Alvis Money Huey Magill, 92, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Davenport Good Samaritan Society.

Burial in Oakdale Memorial Gardens.

She was born in 1920 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold Norton DeWitt Money and Caroline. She married Burtis Ells Huey. He died in 1976. She then married Charles Arthur Magill VI in 1985. He died in 1993.

Alvis was an avid gardener, bridge player and reader. She enjoyed being an amateur genealogist. Her memberships include Trinity Cathedral, Kings Daughters, Daughters of the American Revolution, Davenport Iris Society and the Lilac Society of Duck Creek Park.

Survivors include her son, Jon (Nan E.) Huey and granddaughter, Caroline E. Huey, all of Jackson, Miss.; sister, Janet F. Kademan, Davenport; and two nieces, Judith F. Kademan, Davenport, and Robin Tickner, Berkeley, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a sister, Miriam Money Brownlee.
