Dr. Coleman Morris was the son of Amos & Icyvilla Morris of Kentucky. Amos was born in 1808 and Icyvilla in 1810. In April of 1895 in Macon County, Missouri he married Annie M. Craig who its believed was born in Feb., 1859 in Iowa City, Wright, Iowa. In the 1900 census Coleman and Annie are living in Sni-a-Bar Township, Jackson, Missouri with three children, a boy, Carna who was 15, a girl, Lesta, who was 13 and a girl, Leona, who was 10. It is further believed these children were Coleman's from a previous marriage, mother unknown. It is not known what became of Carna but Lesta married Zed Webb and later, Nesbert Lemasters and is buried at Mecklin Cem. with Zed. Leona married Otis Wade Dressler and she is buried in Wichita, Kansas. Coleman's wife Annie would have been about 45 years of age when he died in 1904 and it is believed she must have remarried and what became of her is unknown. The last record of the parents, Amos & Icyvilla is the 1880 census and they are living in Cass County, Missouri. When they died and where they might be buried is unknown.
