Georgia Rose Patheal Anderson, 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. Service: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Georgia was born July 22, 1925, in Washington, Ind., daughter of the late George Buell Patheal and Anna Marie Memering. Her father died when Georgia was 8 months old, and she and her mother moved to Vincennes, Ind., where she grew up. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Georgia married Roy Leonard Anderson Sr. in 1946. They lived in Vincennes until they moved to Texas in 1953. Georgia worked at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington as a Christian education secretary and was later employed by the Arlington ISD as a secretary in the business office and purchasing department. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, and she sang in the chancel choir for 35 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and a PTA life member. Georgia enjoyed playing bridge, was fond of flowers and she loved her family and friends. She was married 65 years until her husband's death in 2011. Survivors: Son, Roy Leonard Anderson Jr. and his wife, Libby; grandchildren, Roy Leonard "Andy" Anderson III and Emily Elizabeth Anderson; and cousins, Ellen Campbell Wheeler, John Campbell, Larry Campbell, Fred Westfall and Edward Westfall.
