W. H. MORRIS MET INSTANT DEATH LATE THURSDAY

EXTENSION CORD SHORTED AND CURRENT PASSED THOUGH BODY

While working repairing machinery at the Southland Cotton Oil company's plant Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

W. H. Morris, aged 24 years, single, was almost instantly killed when an electric extension cord was in some manner shorted.

The young man was perspiring freely and the current passed through his body.

He had been employed by that firm for about three years. He was working with a negro laborer at the time of the fatal shock.

The remains were taken to Bazette Friday afternoon where interment was made at 4:30 o'clock.

Surviving are his parents, Henry Wilford Morris & Ollie Nadine (Hubbard) Morris of Round Prairie, south of Kerens; four brothers, Weldon, W. G. Johnny and Jack Morris, all of Round Prairie; four sisters, Mrs. J. A. Etheridge, Corsicana; Misses Hazel, Julia and Zetta Fern Morris, all of Round Prairie.
