Veda Joy Miller, 74, passed away November 12, 2004, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services were 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, at Tascosa Road Fellowhip with Pastor Jay Roberson officiating. Interment will be 3:00 pm Monday, November 15, 2004 at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service of Mangum.
Miller was born September 11, 1930, to Wally Jack and Edna Violet Atchley in Hobart, OK. Veda graduated from Mangum High School in 1949. She had managed Johnny's Great American Hamburgers in Amarillo and later worked in dietary at Baptist Hospital until her retirement. She has lived in Amarillo since 1972.
Veda Joy is survived by two sons, Ricky Mumford and wife Patty and Johnny Miller all of Sterling Colo.; Daughter Joann Mills of Mangum; five grandchildren, Trisha Mumford, Derek Mumford, Jason Miller, Renee Miller all of Colorado and Valerie Osborn and husband Adam of Abilene, Texas; one great grandson, Dylan Osborn of Abilene, Texas; sister, Oleta Lee of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Bobby Jack Atchley and wife Kay of Duncan, OK; niece Gerry Beaver; three nephews, Larry Lee, Andy Atchley, and Jody Atchley; two great nieces, Melissa and Cassie; two great nephews, Dale and Jack; three great-great nieces, Tonya, Stormey, and Kelsey; and three great-great nephews, Bryan, D.J., and Dale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Violet Atchley and one brother, Jerry Atchley.
