Lutie Bell Beauchamp was the daughter of Confederate soldier and Chisholm Trail cowboy Jereboam Downing Beauchamp, born in Shelby Co., The Republic of Texas, on November 21, 1842 (Died November 7, 1925, buried in Myrtle Cemetery, Ennis, Texas). Her mother was Ada A Tharp, born August 14, 1854 in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana, died February 2, 1928, and is also buried in Myrtle Cemetery near her parents, Rev. Thomas George Allen Tharp and Adelaide Haden Allen Tharp.
