Charles R. Moore, of Steelton, Was a Victim of Williamsport, Md. Bridge Disaster

After living fourteen months with a broken back, which he received in the bridge accident at Williamsport, Md., on December 16, 1908, Charles R. Moore, died one minute after noon yesterday at his home, 207 Main Street, Steelton. Moore who was twenty-seven years old, was a man of remarkable vitality and successfully underwent an operation in which he had two inches of bone removed from his spine. Hopes were then entertained for his recovery, the physicians stating that his successfully withstanding the operation was remarkable.
But, last December he began to grow worse, and despite the fact that he received every medical attention, died after much suffering. He is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Q. Moore; three brothers, Alvin L.,of Harrisburg; Joshua and William, of Steelton; three sisters, Mrs. Lulu Mitchell, Misses Edith and Helen, all of Steelton.
The arrangments for the funeral have not been completed. It will be held at his late residence and the services will be conducted by Rev. M. P. Hocker, D. D., of St. John's Lutheran Church, and Rev. Clarence E. Taylor, of Central Baptist Church. Interment will be made in Sharpsburg, Md.
