Charles D. Oatman, 80, of 304 Miller St., East Galesburg, died today at 1:10 a.m. in Cottage Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Kimber and WestChapel, where friends may call Sunday evening. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Oatman, who retired in 1961 as an employee of the Burlington Railroad storehouse, was born Jan. 17, 1883, at Bushnell and attended Prairie City schools. He resided for 41 years in Galesburg and the past 2 years at the East Galesburg address. Mr. Oatman was married to Lucy Irena Condreay Nov. 29, 1911 at Peoria. He was a member of Bethany Baptest Church, Modern Woodman of America and Royal Neighbors Lodge of America.
Survivors are the widow; a son, Lawrence Oatman of Chino, California; two daughters, Mrs Roy (Nellie) Louthan and Mrs. Elbert (Thelma) DeWitt, of Galesburg; a brother Ralph Oatman of Erie, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Lantz of Bushnell; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
