Beatrice C. Martin, 85, of Monroeville, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Provena Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Avilla.
Born in Jackson Twp., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ernestine (nee. Bonjour) Coonrod. She was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven.
She is survived by her children, Leonard A. (Veronica) Martin of New Haven, Daniel L. (Eileen) Layton of Fort Wayne, Marcia (Michael) Bramkamp of Monroeville, and Sonja (Daryl) Dafforn of Hudson; siblings, Celeste Lortie of New Haven and Gilbert Coonrod of Harlan; sister-in-law, Theresa Coonrod; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leonard Martin in 2000; previous husband, Donald L. Layton; brothers, Elmer and Ross Coonrod; grandchildren, Michael and Alisa Bramkamp, Joseph Dafforn; brother-in-law, John Lortie; sisters-in-law, Estella and Ruth Ann Coonrod.
Prayer service is 8:15 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven. Father Steve Colchin officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012 at the funeral home with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
