She was born March 8, 1925 in Elk City, Oklahoma the daughter of Arthur A. and Millie Mae (Snowden) Russell.
Ludie graduated from Elk City High School in 1943 and finished nurses training at Independence Sanitarium, Independence, Missouri, in 1947. She worked as a registered nurse for 44 years.
On August 14, 1948 she married Leo H. Todd in Independence, Missouri. He preceded her in death May 29, 1983.
She had lived in the Holden community the past 58 years and was a member of the Holden Community of Christ Church.
Surviving her passing are five sons, Fred Todd, Kansas City, MO, Larry Todd, Versailles, MO, Mike Todd, Turney, MO, David Todd, Independence, MO, and Mark Todd, Holden, MO; two daughters, Millie Todd, Columbus, MS, and Nina Enix, Holden, MO; one brother, Arthur Nathan Russell, Independence; numerous, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren.
