The death of William Mlles occurred at the family residence, 75 East Jackson street last evening, death being the result of being overcome by the heat ten days ago. Deceased was a pioneer resident of the city, having been born May 26, 1822, and has resided in the city since childhood. His occupation was that of a brick maker and during his life filled the position of yard foreman for the late Zebulon Stephens, Hillard Bros., and John A. Schmitt, all prominent brick manufacturers during their lives.
He is survived by the following children, his wife having died nine years ago: George E., William H., Charles S., Hattie L., wife of H. M. Speece, and Daisy E., all of this city.
Funeral services will be held at the family residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. A. J. Kerr of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was long a member, will officiate. Interment in Hollenback Cemetery.
