Dr. Adamson taught at the dental school from 1979 to 1990. He earlier practiced dentistry in Springfield, Mo., and Salina, Kan.
He received a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University and was a graduate of the UMKC School of Dentistry. He was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental fraternity.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army Reserves.
He was born in Wichita and lived in Springfield and Salina before moving to this area in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Adamson, a son, Michael G. Adamson and a daughter, Kristin L. Adamson, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Adamson of Wichita; and a sister, Kathryn Alexander, Denver.
