A life long resident of Gwinnett County and a Charter Member of Central Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, where she was very involved with the Children’s Ministry and a member of the WMU, Mrs. Swanson was a supervisor at Genesco Shoes, after that she owned and operated her own day care center in Lawrenceville. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Swanson, Jr. in 1985 and brother Dr. W. A. Elinburg, Jr, in 1998. Survivors include: Children: Warren Swanson, Willard & Sue Swanson, Truett & Elaine Swanson, Kent & Rosary Swanson, all of Lawrenceville; Kay & Rev. Tim Tanner, Clarksville; Mark & Denise Swanson, Buford; Sister: Irene Peck, Toccoa; 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews.
