Mrs. Etha Mae King, 79, of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Colonial Health and Rehab Center. The former Etha Mae Carey was born July 13, 1933 in Nelson County, was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for G and R Garden Center, and a member of New Salem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hallie Elizabeth Cain and her parents, Hubert "Jack" and Lillie Mae Witten Carey.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin King, 3 sons, Stuart (Vickie) King of Douglasville, GA, Rick King and Mark King, both of Bardstown, 2 daughters, Deborah Cain of Lexington and Sue (Bernie) Hardin of Cox's Creek, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a sister, Anna Jane of Kissimmee, FL.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 20, 2012 at noon at the New Salem Baptist Church with burial in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother James Taulman and Brother Jonathan Gann will co-officiate. Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and after 10:00 am Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kentucky Baptist Children's Home. Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home
