The son of Andrew Jackson Keys Jr. and Annie Basham Keys. He married Marianna Epling on November 25, 1939.

Andrew Franklin Keys, 79, of Irvington, died Saturday, September 15, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. Mr. Keys was born October 18, 1910, in Breckinridge County, a son of the late Andrew Jackson Keys Jr. and Annie Basham Keys. He was a retired employee of the Olin Mathieson Corporation of Brandenburg, and a member of the Irvington Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marianna Epling Keys of Irvington; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Sandra) Parks of Irvington; three sons, Richard F. Keys and Theodore L. Keys, both of Irvington, and David Anthony Keys of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Lena Hall of McLean, IL; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 2pm on Tuesday, September 18 in the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington with the Rev. John Duncan, pastor of the Irvington Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington, under the direction of the Alexander Funeral home in Irvington.
