BRYAN, Joseph Peter - 79, of Troy died late Friday night at his home on Canton Street. He has lived in Troy for the past 23 years and had been very active in community affairs. During the war he helped organize the machine works at New Albany which did so well on war contracts that it was awarded the Navy “E”. He is survived by his wife, Marie L Bryan; a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Gritzan of Winchester, Va; a son, Joseph Farland Bryan of Washington, DC.; grandson, Robert F Gritzan, Washington. The body will be at the family home Monday morning. The remains will be taken to St Michael’s Church in Canton for funeral services. Rev. Thomas J Knight will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood cemetery in Troy.
