Elizabeth was the daughter of William Gist and Violetta (Howard) Gist.

Elizabeth married Ramsey McGee on 26 Nov 1775 in Garrison Forest, Baltimore County, Maryland.

Ramsey's name appears in the account books of Capt. Charles Ridgely (1733-1790) documenting the construction of "Hampton Mansion," which began in 1783.

• On 19 June 1784, Ramsey McGee received £6 cash.
• Carpenters' Bill No. 2 [work done prior to 4 Nov 1784] shows that Ramsey McGee did £60 worth of work while boarding with Capt. Ridgely.
• Ramsey McGee does not appear in the account books after 14 Apr 1786.

Ramsey McGee rented lot #160 on Forrest Street (now Charles Street) in Baltimore Town (City) on the west side of the Jones Falls on 2 Sept 1783 from Catharine Barnett [Baltimore County Land Record, Liber WG Q, Folio 231].

Elizabeth was buried in the Church Yard on 18 Feb 1794.

Ramsey and Elizabeth were the parents of Mary (McGee) Kirby ["Polly"] (5 May 1882 - 10 June 1812). She married John Kirby (c.1777 - 5 July 1861) on 16 Sept 1802.
Elizabeth was the daughter of William Gist and Violetta (Howard) Gist.
