Mr. Haack was born on June 7, 1894 near Sibley, Illinois, a son of Herman and Pauline (Brandt) Haack.

He married Ethel M. Koehler on February 18, 1920 at Sibley, Illinois. She survives.

Mr. Haack was a retired farmer.

He was an Army veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion and a member of Sibley Senior Citizens.
