Bozoo, WV - Arthur Hayden Ferguson, age 99, of Bozoo, WV passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born on June 17, 1912, he was the son of the late Jim Ferguson and Addie Frazier Ferguson. Hayden was a lifelong resident of Bozoo and had worked at the Celanese Corporation as well as various carpentry jobs throughout his life. However, farming was his true passion and his wonderful garden vegetables were known and enjoyed by friends, family and local merchants who purchased them for sale in the summer months. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Shumate Ferguson, and was the last surviving member of his family of eight brothers and sisters; Kelly, Weldon, May, Jessie, Frances, Willie, Tom, and Arnold. Hayden was one of the oldest residents at Country View Assisted Living in Peterstown, WV where he had resided for the past six years.
