Charles S. Haver was the son of William E. and Catharine Crammer Haver. He was born near Whitehouse.

Mr. Haver conducted a wholesale egg and poultry buying business in Flemington from 1899 until 1939. He first was asociated with the firm of Nevius & Connet and later was a member of the firm of Sharp, Alvater & Haver, egg and produce buyers and shipers. Later, he operated the business individually in the buildings east of the Nevius Department Store.
