William George Hunter, 58, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, October 31, 2004, in Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, Va., following a four-month battle with cancer.
He was born February 22, 1946, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Walter and Anna Mary Miller Hunter.
Mr. Hunter was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School and served in the U.S. Army from July 1965 to July 1968.
While serving in Vietnam, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and the Bronze Star.
He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Washington prior to his enlistment in the Army.
He enjoyed country and western music and was a history enthusiast.
He was employed by Olympus Auto Parts in Merrifield, Va.
