Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will lie instate Friday at 10 a.m. at North Monroe Street Church of God Mountain Assembly with funeral services at 11 a.m. Rev. Rick Massingill, pastor will officiate. Private burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
Born October 25, 1927 in Verda, Kentucky, Wilma was the daughter of Ross and Lula (Sanders) Hill. She married Willard E. Goins on February 2, 1946 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2001.
She was a member of North Monroe Street Church of God Mountain Assembly.
Wilma was employed by Evans Hospital in Middlesboro; came to Monroe in 1949, and was employed by Sears, Penney's and the Beach Nursing Home. She worked for Howard Ternes Packaging for sixteen years before retiring.
Surviving are her son Gary W. Goins of Monroe; daughters Judy A. (Lawrence) Montague of Monroe, Kay F. (David) Goins of Monroe and Kim M. (Dan) Petree of LaSalle; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; two brothers, O. B. (Sharon) Hill of Monroe and Clarence (Billie) Hill of Tazewell, Tennessee, and three sisters, Henrietta Peters of Sumter, South Carolina; Elsie (Jim) Quesenbery of Delphi, Indiana and Shirley Seago of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers, Clyde, Lloyd, Earl and Ted Hill.
