WM. QUIGLEY FATALLY INJURED IN TRUCK ACCICDENT

[The steering mechanism went out on the large truck he was driving and went down an embankment, throwing him out the window. He died two hours later at the hospital with both sons being at his side.]

William Quigley, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Felix Quigley, was born at Milk's Grove, Ill., Nov 24, 1872, and was therefore slightly past fifty-nine years of age at the time of his death. He was one of a family of twelve children. He came to Iowa about thirty-five years ago and has made his home in this community most of the time since. Feb. 15, 1900, he was united in marriage to Sarah May Williams of Havelock. To this union seven children were born, four girls and three boys. One son, Paul, died in 1913. The living children are Mrs. H. H. Harriger, Cumming, Iowa; Mrs. M. J. Lynch, Clare, Iowa; Leonard and Harry Quigley of Trenton, Mo.; and Miss Marcella Quigley of Rolfe, Iowa. Mrs. Quigley also survives. Of his family five sisters and two brothers remain: Mrs. E. J. Lanus of Spencer, Iowa; Mrs. Walter Ayers, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. W. M. Matters, Reinbeck, Ia.; Mrs. Lois Williams, Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Cora Dickinson and Harry Quigley of Peoria, Ill.; and James Quigley of Maynard, Minn.

The body was brot to Rolfe Saturday and funeral services were held at St. Margaret's Catholic church Monday morning, Rev. Daniel Tewell reading requiem mass. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery at Pocahontas.

All the children attended this service; also Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Lanus and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ayers and family; Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Matters and family; Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Quigley and daughter and Mr. Peterson; Mrs. Cora Dickinson and son, George, and wife, and daughter, Mrs. Adam Messer, and husband; Lee Hixson and Chas. Cook of Trenton, Mo., and Mrs. Susie Thompson and brother, Archie Williams, of Plover. The pallbearers were Leo Ayers, Ed Lanus, Geo. Dickinson, Lloyd Cox, M. J. McCreary and Chas. Cook.
