Mrs. W. Alig Rites
Casket bearers at funeral services Wednesday, Jan. 20, in St. Margaret's church at Rolfe for Mrs. Wilbur Alig were Orie Heid of Barnum, Leo Diederich and Joe Vainreb of Gilmore City and Geo. Milefchik, Harry Votlucka and Clifford Cain, all of Pocahontas.
Mrs. Alig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ernst, was born Oct. 26, 1912, at Pocahontas. On Feb. 16, 1931, she was married to Wilbur Alig in Sacred Heart Catholic church at Pocahontas. They farmed in the Pocahontas vicinity until 1941 when they moved to the Rolfe community.
Survivors include her husband; two children, Norbert and Mrs. Russell Winkleblack, both of Rolfe; five grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mary Ernst of Pocahontas, three brothers and four sisters.
Relatives attending the last rites were from Metamora and Lacon, Ill., Wallingford, Cylinder, Whittemore, West Bend, Havelock, Fonda, Pomeroy, Palmer, Laurens, Pocahontas, Gilmore City, Clare and Fort Dodge.

Rites Held For Mrs. Wilbur Alig
Mrs. Wilbur Alig, 52, died about 5 a.m. Monday, January 18, at Mercy hospital, Fort Dodge. She had been ill for some time with cancer and had been at the hospital since January 9.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Margaret's Catholic church, Rolfe. Rev. David Hogan was celebrant of the requiem Mass and burial was in Calvary cemetery, Pocahontas. Streit-Powers Funeral Home, Rolfe, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Alig is survived by her husband; two children, Norbert and Mrs. Russell Winkleblack both of Rolfe; and five grandchildren.
Other survivors are her mother, Mrs. Mary Ernst of Pocahontas; three brothers and four sisters.
