MATTOON — Helen Lucille Allee, 99, of Mattoon, died at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Mason Point in Sullivan.
Funeral services honoring her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Schilling Funeral Home with William Kissell officiating. Burial will follow in the Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from noon until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Helen was born on January 17, 1913 in Benton, Illinois the daughter of Charles A. and Minnie (Whittington) Williams. She married James Byron "J.B." Allee on June 11, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son, William Timothy Allee.
Survivors include her son, James R. Allee and wife Patty of Mattoon; J.F. Allee of Visalia, California; grandchildren, Jeff Allee and wife Kelly of Mattoon; Angie Collings and husband Tony of Springfield; Aimee Chambers and husband Keith of Somerset, Kentucky; Tim Allee of Mattoon; great grandchildren, Andrew Collings; Laura Collings; Joey Allee; Addi Allee; Alaina Allee and Sydney Allee.
Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mattoon.
