Frank Massey, who lived in the Dozier Community 58 years before moving to Amarillo in 1973, died in Hillhaven Rest Home there Tuesday, may 27, following a short illness. He was 84 years of age.

He was a farm leader and active in community affairs of the Dozier area until he retired.

A longtime member of the Church of Christ, he was an elder over a long period of years.

Born April 8, 1891, in Jack County, he was the son of Thomas and Jane Maxey Massey. He came to the Plymouth community in 1910, and the north part of the county continued to be his home.

He was married to Miss Irene Riley at Plymouth on December 24, 1911. She preceded him in death September 18, 1974.

Survivors are a daughter and son, Mrs. Ivan Turner of Amarillo and Leo Massey of Slaton; two grandsons, Jim and Bob Massey of Lubbock; three great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Greg and Penny of Lubbock.
