Alsina Sabrey WICKS was born in 1836 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Her father was Stutely Wicks (1812-1865) and her mother was Catherine Muller Wicks (1814-1881) who was of Ojibwa/Potawatomi descent. Alsina was a twin with Almira (Wicks) Baylis.

She married Michael FELTHAUSER on July 1, 1866, in her hometown. They had three known children during their marriage: Maggie (1866-1891), Frederick Valentine (1870-1957), Barbara Eleana (1872-1967).

She died on June 22, 1912, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, having lived a long life of 75 years, and was buried there.
